Usage and Maintenance of the Roll Forming Machines

  1. Lubrication Requirements
    • Before using the machine, the operator must fill 32# mechanical oil into the cycloidal reducer. The oil level should align with the oil mark.
    • For new machines: After rolling 5,000 square meters of plate, replace the oil. Subsequent oil changes should occur annually.
    • Regularly check the oil level and refill as needed
  2. Roller Surface Maintenance
    • Keep rollers clean to prevent debris from entering during operation.
    • After use, spray oil on roller surfaces. If exposed to rain or high humidity, dry rollers with a cloth and apply anti-rust oil
  3. Chain Lubrication
    • Add lubricating oil to the chain before initial use, then every six months.
  4. Roller Gap Adjustment
    • The gap between rollers should generally equal the material thickness.
    • Adjustments can slightly alter the formed plate’s width. Ensure uniform gap settings for consistency
  5. Hydraulic Cutting System
    • Oil Selection: Use 32# or 46# hydraulic oil, filling to the oil mark.
    • Guide Column Lubrication:
      • For guide column-type cutters (equipped with oil-free bearings), no lubrication is needed.
      • For stay-link-type cutters (other brands), lubricate the shifter with 30# oil three times per shift.
    • Blade Maintenance:
      • Blades (Cr12 alloy steel) can process ~100,000 squares before regrinding.
      • To replace: Remove screws, grind the blade surface, reinstall, and align using the hydraulic cylinder as a reference
  6. Encoder Adjustment
    • Clean the measuring wheel surface and check bearing functionality regularly.
    • Adjust the spring tension via the screw nut:
      • Avoid over-tightening (prevents pulse output) or over-loosening (risks encoder damage).
    • Protect the encoder from impact (internal glass disc is fragile).
  7. Safety Precautions
    • Do not place hands in the shear mouth while the pump motor is running.
    • Avoid touching the press plate during operation.
    • Perform moisture-proofing on-site.
    • For long-term storage: Apply anti-rust oil to rollers and butter the chain.
